European Poker Tour - Dortmund
The EPT here in Dortmund is just a couple of hours away. A lot of the players are downstairs in the registrastion area and waiting for the biggest pokertournament ever held on German soil. The EPT coming to Germany is a logical step for the growing poker tour and it is expected that about 200 of the 500 seats will be taken by German players. We caught up with one of the more sucsessful German players the last couple of years, Michael Keiner.
So Michael, what can we expect of the German troop here in Dortmund? -Well, with som many Germans in the field i think we will see 3-4 Germans on the final table. So who of the Germans are on format the moment? -There are several players that have produced results the last year, Benjamin Kang, Andreas Krause, Eddy Sharf and the very exiting player George Danzer are all players that can get deep if they get some chips.
The hometeam will get their work cut out for them with some of the best Europeans being in the starting field. Among the players we know are gonna play today are Norways Johnny Lodden and Jan Olav Sjavik. The Dutch are also represented with their finest players in Marcel Luske and the Pokerstars-sponsored Noah Boeken. The Finns will not let their presence go unnoticed with Juha Helppi and Ilari Sahamies playing the first ot the two flight days. French players Paul Testud and Chuc Hoang have taken the trip from the neighbour country to the west.
If the tournament runs smoothly, a German stop sure will be a good addition to the European Poker Tour.
